Blissed out on Lilacs

I love it when the town smells like lilacs. Its a droopy, sweet smell that always makes me want to buy a new notebook and fill it with love poems written in cursive. I used to have a lilac colored dress. It was given to me by an elderly neighbor who lived in a little brown cottage and served me tea in pretty floral cups whenever I went over to visit. Once I wore lilacs in my hair to a prom. I don't remember much from that prom, but I do remember that my date noticed the lilacs when we were dancing. He said they smelt nice.
They're just starting to bloom here. My yoga teacher brought a bunch in to the studio this morning. She commented on a little inchworm who had settled on a leaf "he's blissed out on lilacs" she said, "what a wonderful existence, to be blissed out on lilacs. We should want nothing more than that in our life". I've been driving around all day with my windows down trying to catch their heavy breeze, trying to be blissed out on lilacs. They grow on huge trees, sometimes lining a whole block. On more than one level it's completely intoxicating.

Anyways, florals are on my mind. Try mixing up some different floral prints and pairing it with a lilac scented perfume like Pacifica French Lilac Spray. You can find it at Sephora. Hopefully it will have you just as blissed out on lilacs as I am.

                                                    Peace,
